Love For Lydia

 

On March 22, 2015, Showplace Peterborough was host to this amazing fundraising event.  Lydia is the 11 year old granddaughter of well known local musician Al Black.

 

Lydia was recently diagnosed with a blood disorder, myelodysplastic syndrome.  Her condition is treatable but will require many visits to Toronto, missed time from workfor her parents, a huge financial stress for her family.

 

25 local musicians, restaurants, businesses and volunteers immediately answered the call to help out one of their own and volunteered to take part in an afternoon of music, food and love.

 

A community opened their hearts and came out in droves to support this family in their time of need for the love of this special little girl.
